Just wanted to share a pic of the lovely Sophie and myself (taken on my mobile phone at a busy shopping centre food court, as that was the best we could coordinate between feed times, etc) introducing our precious "rainbow" babies to one another.
Soph and I shared every up and down of our pregnancies after the loss of our precious daughters, Jordan and Hope. We walked hand in hand to bring these beautiful boys safely in to the world. She is one of the very few souls on this earth, aside from Simon and my immediate family, who truly understands how hard the pregnancy was. She knows, because she lived through it herself.
And I couldn't blog here today, without mentioning my very special friend Paige who has safely welcomed her second son Severin Cayden in to the world. Sev is the brother of Cayden, who was born and died just one year ago. Mama Paige has done incredibly well to give birth to two beautiful boys in such a short amount of time. I am in awe of her strength.
Paige and I, along with Sarah and Carly, sent literally hundreds of emails to each other, between the west and east coasts of both Australia and the USA, throughout our pregnancies which followed almost exactly the same timelines. We held each other up, when on some days it all seemed too hard.
I couldn't have survived it without those girls. Paige, I'm just so happy little Sev is here safe and sound, and my thoughts continue to be with you as you move through this incredibly bittersweet month.

Oh how lovely to see two little rainbow babies together.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you girls together with your cute little boys. Makes me think how nice it would be if we'd all live just around the corner...
ReplyDeleteSending my love & xxxx
I am often very thankful for all of the amazing friends that my babies who have died brought into my life.
ReplyDeleteNobody gets it like someone who has been there-- and I am so glad you have friends that you went through both journeys with. <3
ReplyDeleteI am eternally grateful for my good friend whose baby died the same day as Sophie. We went through everything together. If this had to happen, what more could I ask for, then someone who *truly* gets it?
PS-- great picture. <3
