That's damn hot in anyone's language though.
Our babies might not be in this world anymore, but on days like today, it makes you wonder if any of us should, or if any of us will be for much longer. I can only hope the extreme cold other parts of the world are going through are balancing our crazy weather out. But we all know global warming doesn't really work like that...
Today was the hottest day in my State's history. So far, 14 people have died and more than 100 homes have been lost. One of those homes may even belong to the parents of friends of ours; we are still waiting to hear. Other people we know, had the flames just 200m from their front door.
Scary stuff.
I wish Hope was here to have experienced this day. I know we would have stayed inside and under the airconditioner all day, but I wish she was here with me to have witnessed this horrific day in our history. I can only hope that her little brother or sister is in there now, and that in years to come, I can tell them about this incredible day when their little life first came in to existence.

Bloody hell, I think the hottest temp I've ever experienced was 40 in, of all places, Switzerland!
ReplyDeleteKeep cool Sally.
*she says, wrapping up in a blanket*
We're getting up to 45 today! FARENHEIT!! haha Yep, Good ole Michigan.. and this is actually WARM for this time of year.. How miserable for you guys though! YIKES!
ReplyDeleteI was just hearing about the extreme temps and fires on the radio this morning and thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteHere, still snow on the ground and I'm excited temps will be about 40 F--so we don't have to stay in.
Wow, we're stuck with rain here where I live. It's been pouring for three days, good thing my apartment is on the second story of the building lol!
ReplyDeleteBlowing baby dust your way...
We finally have weather here that isn't in the high 80's and 90's. It's cold and rainy and I am one happy camper.
ReplyDeleteI hate the heat, unless I am siting in a beach chair drinking a nice cold beer. Which, if things are happening for you, you won't be able to do for a good nine months or so!!
xxoo
this world is so crazy and scary. we've hardly had any rain this winter, in fact we've had many hot days. i hope things cool down. take care of yourself and eat some ice cream.
ReplyDeleteThe news coming out of VIC is just devastating, truly devastating...x
ReplyDeleteI've tagged you for an award. See my blog for details.
ReplyDeleteJeebus, sounds like AZ. I think the hottest I did there was somewhere in the 122-25 range. The air was so thin they shut the airport. That's just wrong and unfit for human life, I say.
ReplyDeleteStay in the ac. Eat ice cream.
